A reworking of Norman McLaren's "Ballet Adagio" (1972) that transforms the original footage through added effects. By introducing otherworldly beams of light that emanate from the dancers' bodies, I hope to complement and accentuate their movement, lending the dance a heightened ethereal quality. This aesthetic is inspired by the similar imagery of Norman McLaren's “Pas de Deux” (1968) and Maya Deren's "The Very Eye of Night" (1958)!
